The Beach By The Bay
by Pam Wong, illustrated by Rick Romano and Camie Romano

About the Book
As seen from the eyes of a child, The Beach By The Bay captures the wonder and anticipation of summer fun at the beach. This tuneful tale is based on the coastal community of Sandbridge.

Author and Hampton Roads native, Pam Wong joins with local beach and surf artist, Rick Romano and his daughter Camie Romano to create an inspiring journey of the senses.  With a message of preservation, readers will follow young surfers, Tanner and Kai as they explore the wonder and beauty of the ocean on their search for waves. The book features local landmarks and highlights local wildlife inhabiting Virginia’s own beach-by-the-bay.

About the Author
Pam Wong is a native of Hampton Roads and resident of Sandbridge. With a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master’s degree in public administration, Pam has worked with troubled youth and families promoting positive youth development for 15 years. She and her husband, Kevin own the Boardwok Restaurant in Virginia Beach, Virginia where they reside with their 2 little grommets, Tanner and Kanoa.

About the Illustrators

Camie Romano, daughter of Rick Romano, currently attends First Colonial High School in Virginia Beach.
