This book is about how skateboarding evolved and the importance of wearing helmets and pads. This fictionalized story begins with how the first skateboard was made and how pads began to be worn. The main characters, Moe and Lani, encounter a bully at a skate park who teases them about wearing helmets and pads. Moe and Lani show the readers that those who wear pads get to have the next day for fun while those who do not wear pads usually get a trip to the emergency room.
